J.M. Baudains Ltd can provide investigation, factual findings and remedial support where a property has been affected. The precise scope will depend on the circumstances and the information required by the client or insurer.
What should I provide with my enquiry?
Please describe the property or land, the problem observed, when it was first noticed, any work already completed, and whether an insurer or other professional is involved. Photographs and previous reports can also help establish the initial scope.
Will you identify the cause before recommending remedial work?
The approach is investigation-led. Available evidence is assessed first, findings are communicated clearly, and appropriate remedial options are then considered.
Do you provide written findings?
Factual reporting and client support can be included where required. The format and extent of reporting will be agreed according to the purpose of the instruction.
How quickly will you respond?
We aim to respond to enquiries within 24 hours, Monday to Friday. Site visits are arranged by appointment and availability depends on the nature and location of the instruction.
Will remediation disrupt the property?
The likely access requirements, affected areas and practical implications will be discussed before work begins. The aim is to complete appropriate work while keeping avoidable disruption to a minimum.
How are sampling requirements decided?
The sampling approach depends on the reported concern, the property or land, access, the material or environment being assessed, and the purpose of the results. These points are reviewed before sampling is undertaken.
